Who is this event for?

This gathering is for leaders and activists of all genders in strategic philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, angel investing, and social impact investing who want to move money to women and girls faster and to do so with a racial justice and economic justice lens. It’s also for women donors and investors who want to learn about the full range of opportunities when it comes to spending, giving, and investing with a focus on moving our knowledge to action.

 What will I take away from this event?

For leaders, this event gives you the opportunity to connect with other catalytic voices, share your challenges and hopes for the future, and get to work. We’ve heard from thought leaders in gender lens investing and other fields that people are eager for a gathering where they can connect with each other. The traditional conference model has changed and we know we need to do more to build community and translate knowledge into action.

For newcomers to gender lens investing, you will walk away with new ideas and tools, yes, but also concrete action steps you can bring back with you and start talking about with loved ones, colleagues, or financial advisors.

 How are event organizers addressing issues of equity and inclusion?

We are working closely with advisors to build an agenda that will feature a diverse group of speakers and facilitators. Read Our Values, which speaks to ways we aim to practice equity before, during, and after the event. 

 What is the event format?

This event is unique in that it will feature a mix of keynotes, talks, workshops, networking, and action planning sessions. Event producer Tuti B. Scott is taking her learnings from 20+ years in the women’s sports movement into the gender lens investing movement. Borrowing models she used at the Women’s Sports Foundation to create and support a coalition of women’s sports organizations all committed to advancing Title IX protections, Tuti is building an agenda that is intentional around action planning and coalition building.
